If you think Covid has created havoc here in Spain then spare a thought for your friends and family in the UK, especially if they are in the Hospitality business. In March of this year I posted on this site that I felt that the amount of deaths from the virus would pale into insignificance when compared to suicides through business failures and mental health, domestic violence and illnesses that were never treated. Sadly this has proven to be not far off the mark. I have friends in the UK in hotels and restaurants that are going through the toughest of times. The same applies here but for some reason I can see that residents here are taking more care despite the whole of our ethos of food wine and pleasure being eroded. I will spend the next couple of weeks trying to look into the effects on our businesses and the way that restaurants on the Coast are making the best of a bad job.
