I enjoy my Rosados, especially in the summer. I prefer the ones from Navarra and I am afraid I really haven’t got much time for ‘blush’. I’m happy with a very light ‘dark’ rosé, but when it comes to eating then I enjoy a slightly heavier Rosado. None more so

that Gran Caus, Gran Ràfols dels Caus. This is a spectacular wine from Penedes and from a bodega that makes amazing red wines as well; and a superb chalky white La Calma.

The Rosado is a Merlot and with a great fruity nose and will go with most foods. Especially the Summer Beef Sunday Lunch! At around 15€ it’s not the cheapest, but by golly it’s good.
