Singh has been here nearly as long as I have. A wonderful kind and generous man who’s passion is food and of course his clientele. You can’t be in the same place for nearly 30 years and not be getting it right. Recently he has once again invested in hhis business by refurbishing and modernising his existing premises; it is now brighter and more modern, but the food is still authentic and natural. He served me the most beautiful Dorada, perfectly cooked with delicate herbs and spices that did not detract in any way from the delicious plump white flesh. Followed by an excellent Chicken and Lamb Madras packed full of flavour with just the right amount of heat.

Reading the menu you will of course know, or be familiar with, the dishes. There are not many that will hit you and say “I’ve never seen that before,” but you may not be aware of the love and care that goes into Singh’s food. His chefs have been with him for some time, but they have to adheer to Singh’s very high standards — and they do!

He likes to specialise in his ‘Baltis’, but I prefer to stick with those that rise above most, Jal Frezi, Saagwala and Rogan Josh.

But the house special of SizzlingBeef or Mixed Tandoori “Little India” are worth the trip. But my dish the other night of Chicken and Lamb Madras was delightful

Vegeterians more than catered for. Wines are good value as is the meal. So if you want to visit go to the main Avenida España in Sitio de Calahonda.
