I don’t often eat Spaghetti Carbonara, but I didn’t know what to have for supper the other evening: opening the fridge there was a couple of rashers of bacon and a few mushrooms. So chopped some onion and garlic, sautéed the bacon then added the onions and garlic, added the mushrooms added them to the pan of just boiled spaghetti (don’t rinse) and add an egg, stir well and serve; Grated parmesan cheese or similar. A lot of people think that there is cream in a Carbonara but technically there is not although some people use it instead of eggs. Wrong. But it doesn’t hurt to add a splash at the end!!
