For those that may have not kept up with the Celeb Chef Steven Saunders who left his well know Little Geranium in La Cala, Mijas Costa  some 18 months ago, here’s a catch up. Steven has a brilliant new life in Cambridgeshire UK; Executive Chef and Director of the Willow Tree in Bourn; that and a great new house and home life. His usual signature dishes plus more creative and unusual plates, plus Tapas are all to be found at the highly popular restaurant.

Not only that but he started the Odessa project (theodessaproject.com)  with his business partner, Shaina Galvin, owner of the Willow Tree: The purpose, to bring refugees from Ukraine and offering to find them jobs and accommodation in the struggling Hospitality Industry. He joined forces with Supermodel and Entrepreneur, Caprice Bourret After seeing Steven’s work Caprice contacted him to come on board, she said: “It is no secret how opinionated, sad, disgusted, and worried I am about Putin’s war in Ukraine.

I have given money, I have sent supplies and desperately wanted to do more. Steven has been a friend of mine for years and after reading about his initiative I called him right away and said what do you need? How can I help? How do you need me to be involved?”

If that wasn’t enough to keep him occupied, he has also launched a new political party “Together”. Probably thinking what most UK residents think, he says,  “TOGETHER is gathering some momentum but to succeed we need you . If you want to pay less energy costs, less vat , less petrol costs … then support me. We spent 14.5 billion on aid last year in Africa and others. People are living on the streets in the UK . Something is wrong surely?”

Only goes to show give a job to a busy man and he will thrive.
